Pippa’s determined to be model mum and keeps busy with photoshoots

SHE’s over seven months pregnant but the prospect of impending motherhood isn’t deterring Pippa O’Connor from her modelling career.

THE mother to be, who is due in April, intends to keep working for as long as possible and her growing bump is not getting in the way.

“It’s nice doing maternity shoots and they go well as everyone gets very broody. I’m happy to be still working – I’d be bored otherwise. Hopefully I’ll get a few more in,” says Pippa (28).

The wife of TV presenter Brian Ormond is one of a number of well-known faces who are due to become mothers in 2013.

Flight

Amy Huberman recently gave birth to baby Sadie while TV3’s Anna Daly is expecting baby number two next month.

AR model Pippa said she and Brian are “really excited” about growing their family.

Many celebrities have opted to fly off for “babymoons” as they enjoy their last holidays abroad before they go past the legal limit for taking a flight.

But while the Kildare native is happy to keep doing maternity shoots – there will be no pre-baby holiday with the couple sticking close to home in the run-up to the delivery. Celebrity Bainisteoir star Pippa and Brian enjoyed Christmas Day on the beach after jetting over to Dubai last December for a week.

And they recently took a romantic trip to Galway.

“I’m not going abroad before the baby. Dubai was kind of our babymoon. But we will definitely be fitting in a few more weekends away here in Ireland,” she continued.

They have also moved into a bigger house near the luxurious Carton House resort as they make room for their expanding family. Brian also has a daughter named Chloe (12) from a previous relationship.

The pair got married in July 2011 at a bash in the Ritz Carlton hotel which was filmed for an RTE documentary called Brian and Pippa Get Married.

And Pippa is making sure she will have help on hand when their baby arrives by handing reality TV star Brian Dowling his latest role as fairy godmother.

The Big Brother winner was on hand on Sunday as the top model’s close friends and family threw her a baby shower at the weekend.

“Brian will be fairy godmother regardless of who else is godmother. He’s very excited. We had a great day on Sunday, baby showers are so nice. It was brilliant to get everyone together before the baby arrives.”
