Edinburgh – the lowdown!

Hellooo Monday!

I’d love to say you’re looking well but that would be a lie. What is the weather like?! I’m seriously thinking of lighting the fire.

How is everyone? Good I hope. Half the country seemed to be at Ed over the weekend so I hope you’d a great time.

On Saturday my hubby and I took a trip to Edinburgh for the night. Our friends Keith and Lisa invited us over to see their gig (Boyzone) in Edinburgh Castle.

We stayed at the Glasshouse Hotel, which is in the heart of the city. It was a really lovely hotel and in the ideal location too, near all of the shops!

On Saturday afternoon Brian and I checked out some sights, which there are plenty of by the way. Edinburgh is very beautiful to look at. The Castle is just stunning. There are plenty of museums and galleries to check out too. Edinburgh Dungeons are meant to be brilliant also – we didn’t get a chance to go but they came highly recommended.

For lunch we went to Jamie Oliver’s, it was gorgeous. I had an amazing superfood salad with salmon, and a side of chips of course!

That evening we went to Edinburgh Castle where the gig was on. We had such a laugh dancing and singing along to the lads.

We went for quite a late dinner to the most beautiful restaurant called The Witchery. I had heard a lot about it so I was really looking forward to going, it certainly didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely.

The following day we went to Harvey Nichols to their restaurant on the 4th floor. The weather was nice enough to sit outside, which had the most amazing views. My French toast and bacon was to die for.
