main image

We’ve all been there: staring at a wardrobe full of clothes and yet the ‘nothing to wear blues’ still manage to creep up. Everything you wear leaves you feeling bored and unimpressed, not to mention outfit-planning can take way longer than usual.

If the above applies to you, don’t give up hope on your wardrobe just yet, ladies. Today on pippa.ie, we decided to make a list of 7 easy fixes to help break out of a style rut. When it comes to fashion, feeling comfortable and confident in what you wear is key.

So f you’re ready to wave buh-bye to your over-worn tee & jeans and inject some life back into your wardrobe, we’ve got some handy tips for you! Hope you find this helpful. 🙂

Would you add anything to the list?

1. JOIN PINTEREST

Pinterest is a major Godsend when you’re in need of some style inspiration. We could spend hours (quite literally), scrolling on Pinterest, making mood boards and coming up with new outfit ideas. It’s a great way to get a fresh take on how you can style pieces that are already in your wardrobe.

2. ACCESSORISE

Accessories can change the entire look of an outfit. A statement necklace can work absolute wonders, resurrecting an old outfit, making it look chic and glamorous. Hats, sunglasses and bags can have the same effect too.

3. EMBRACE COLOURS & PATTERNS

However, a pop of colour every now and then doesn’t do any harm, especially if you want to try something new. If you’re hesitant about the brighter shades, softer pastel hues are fab. Incorporating patterns into your look can also add some fun and personality.

4. MIX & MATCH YOUR DRESSY AND CASUAL PIECES

oliviaI think it’s a well-known fact that we regularly fan-girl over Olivia Palermo’s flawless style on pippa.ie. She often mixes her formalwear with simpler high street pieces and seems to make it work. We just adore this idea. It means you can get more wear out of things in your wardrobe that would otherwise just be left sitting there. Style your tulle midi skirt with a tee tucked in for cocktails with the girls. See? So handy!

5. ROCK A BOLD LIP MORE

Never underestimate the power of a bold lip. You’d be amazed by how much you can change the whole look of an outfit by simply wearing red lipstick. Why not give it a try? You might just love it. 😉

6. BE BRAVE, TAKE A RISK

It can be so easy to cling onto the familiar but every now and then you need to get out of your comfort zone. If you have something in your wardrobe, which you love but have been too afraid to wear in public in the past, put it on. It’s something new and it could mark the beginning of breaking out of your style rut.

7. NEVER SAY NEVER
